The red ring of death is a general hardware fault that is generally caused by a poor soldier connection between one of the chips and the motherboard. This is caused by the constant heating and cooling of the machine warping the mainboard and cracking the soldier connection.
The way that we repair it is to change the way that the heatsinks are fastened to the motherboard poutting more preassure onto the chip holding it down on the the board much better. We then use a soldier reflow machine to heat the soldier joints up back to melting point so that they re-make their connection before allowing them to reset.
We charge £27.99 for this PROFESSIONAL repair and it is warranted for 3 months which is the longest warranty you will find at this price in the North West.
It is true that Microsoft have extended the warranty on the red ring of death to 3 years from the date of purchase as they recognise this as a manafacturing fault. What they dont tell you is they replace with the same parts which are inherantly faulty so your repaired machine will ultimatley fail as well.
This fault is caused by the laser in the DVD drive of the 360 wearing out through fair wear and tear. To repair your machine we will replace the laser with an OEM Part meaning that your machine will be back in action 48 hours from drop off.
We charge £45 for the new laser and fitting plus we give you a 90 day warranty.
If your xbox 360 displays 1 or 2 flashing lights on the front panel and an error message on screen then you have a motherboard fault generally caused by overheating again but affesting a different part of the board to that affected by the read ring of death.
The reflow on these parts of the motherboard are time consuming and technical however we can repair this problem for £45 within 48 hours and offering you a 3 month warranty.
This is another fault related to overheating that we can repair by replacing the heatsink mounting system and reflowing the graphics chip.
We charge £40 for doing this and the repair comes with a 3 month warranty.
This will result in the DVD drive being replaced which will also provide you with a new unworn laser.
The cost of having the drive replaced is £55, it comes with a 3 month warranty and will be replaced within 48 hours.
