Laptop screen has gone blackIf the screen on your laptop has gone blank and their isn't even a faint image, try adjusting the brightness and the contrast first of all. If this doesn't solve the problem then try pluging the laptop into a monitor to see if you get a display and to rule out a graphics card fault. (You may need to press down function FN and the f4 button to switch to the monitor output)

If you get a display on the TV but nothing on the laptop screen then the cold cathode flourescent tube (backlight) has failed and the screen needs replacing on your laptop.
