Half of the laptop screen is dead

Half of the laptop screen is deadIf your laptop is displaying something similar to the image on the Right then it is one of two things causing the problem.

Either a fault has developed on the actual display panel itself in which case it will need replacing starting from £65 fitted depending on make and model or alternetively the Ribon cable that connects the screen to the motherboard is at fault, it may need replacing or it might if your lucky just be a loose connection.

In either case we would need to look at your machine and diagnose which fault is causing your particular problem.
