If you can see a faint image on your laptop but it is to faint to use and adjusting the brightness does not help then either the cold cathode ray tube that gives the screen its brightness has failed or more frequently the screen invertor that powers the tube has failed.
In this case we would test the invertor to find out if that was faulty and replace that before looking at replacing the screen. Invertors start from £25 fitted dependent on the make and model of your laptop.
For a quick and easy quote please call us on 01925 243249 or view our contact page, from their you can drop us an email.
N.B. Some newer screens no longer use an invertor and in that instance you would require the screen to be replaced. We would be able to let you know this when we opened the machine up and before carrying out any work.
