We told you a fair bit of information about us on the home page of the website however this page allows us to go in to more depth with regards to where the business comes from and what we are about. In the following sections you can read information about our pricing structure, how to book a repair with us and frequently asked questions.
Warrington PC Doctor is run by me Paul Arnison with a little help from Angela answering the phones when I am really busy. We run the business from our home address in Great Sankey as this allows us to offer the very best in service whilst keeping our overheads low allowing us to pass these savings onto our customers who expect good quality service at a reasonable price. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is a part time business, we run this as a professional full time business and have gone to the expense of building and fitting out a complete workshop on site (Due completion July 2010).
With us working from home we must stipulate that callers are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, we will allow you to drop off and collect at a time that is convienient to you and outside work hours upto 9pm in the evening but only by previous appointment. We are open on a Saturday and Sunday for drop off's and collections but you must book first by giving us a call.
The business sprang to life in 2000, it was an Idea that I had been thinking of for some time however it wasn't until the contract market crashed in 2000 that I actually decided to make the big leap into the world of self employment. Until then I had spent 7 years in the IT contract market working for big name companies such as United Utilities, BASF, Girobank, Zenecha Pharmaceuticals and Microsoft on many varied projects including rollouts of new machines, new operating systems and office packages, desktop repairs, network administration, data cabling and more.
The experience gained in working for these varied multinational companies allows Warrington PC Doctor to offer a complete IT support package for both small business and home users across Warrington and the surrounding areas. We offer a fantastic service it a very competetive price and whats more you will get the same people answer the phone all the time and the same people to deal with your problems removing the stress of having to explain your systems and problems to a new 'tech' everytime something goes wrong.
We are active in the local community in Warrington, as a family we are avid followers of Warrington Wolves and Paul spends a lot of time coaching and helping out at Crosfields Rugby League club which is local to us in great sankey.

We have tried to make our pricing structure very simple to understand so that you know exactly what you are going to pay for any given repair and it is as follows.
Off Site Repairs
Majority of our repairs are off-site repairs whereby the customer brings the machine to us to repair and then collects when the machine is ready. Upto 1 hour will cost you £30 and everything over 1 hour will cost you £45 for our labour, we will be able to let you know what your specific problem will cost when you contact us. All parts are charged extra and we will always discuss with you your options and the associated costs before fitting any parts.
On site Repairs
We do offer on site repairs for local businesses and to home users who struggle to get the machine to us or when the fault is related to a broadband problem that can only be fixed on site. Small Businesses are offered a complete on site service.
Upto 1 hour will cost you £35 and everything over 1 hour will cost you £50. we will be able to let you know how long roughly your specific problem will take when you contact us. All parts are charged extra and we will always discuss with you your options and the associated costs before fitting any parts.
Console Repairs
All console repairs are priced within this site, prices charged include parts, labour and a 90 day warranty. Console repairs will only be carried out offsite whereby the machine is brought to and collected from our workshop.
Booking a repair is simple, as we work from home we must stipulate that callers are by appointment only. To book your repair simply call us on 01925 2453249 and make arrangements to drop off your machine or select a date that you would like the engineer to visit you.
A: Just the actual tower, we dont need power leads, keyboard, mouse, monitor or printer just the actuall computer that is causing you the problem. If it is an external drive that is causing you a problem then it may make sense to bring that as well. If you have CD's that came with the machine that include the opperating system and drivers then please bring these as well.
A: We would need you to bring with you the Laptop and the power supply to allow us to keep the machine charged. If you have any software that came with the machine including operating system and drivers then please bring these along as well.
A: Quite simply the console, if it's an xbox remove the hard drive as well. We have all of the controllers, power packs and leads for all of the different machines.
